AOL-ish

Finally canceled my account with America Online. I find it curious that an online service devoted to ensuring convenience makes it so difficult to cancel one's account. It seems as though AOL intentionally makes such information difficult to find, so customers have to continue paying for an online experience that is, to put it delicately, tacky and stupid.

However, I know that the good folks at AOL mean their customers no ill, and would certainly never mean to drain the finances of their unwitting customers. They probably just don't know about the problem.

It would be cynical and cruel to suggest otherwise.
